This photograph is staged with surrealist codes. The clock is a symbolism of time and the precariousness of life. It performs a perpetual movement without the need for energy. It is for this reason that the clock is the only element that is not powered by current. We are here in a very mechanical way of seeing life. The hen lays the egg, the egg is chosen according to its size and then eaten. The symbolism of life no longer exists, everything is driven by machines and industrialized. The face of the character is that of Claudia Schiffer by Francesco Scavullo.
